Foundations for biblical faith in Jesus Jul 23, 2010
By Kirk Rogers Gospel tracts have been a great tool to lead many to saving faith in Jesus. But constraints of space - usually they are mere leaflets a few small pages long - mean they must cut to the chase, giving the Gospel message without providing clear reasons why one needs the message, why we can trust the Bible, why sinful man justly deserves Hell, why Jesus had to die, etc.
Enter "The Stranger on the Road to Emmaus." Think of this book as a thorough and comprehensive Gospel tract. It takes the reader from the beginning, Genesis 1, and gives a panoramic historical view of the Bible, emphasizing what the Bible teaches about who God is, who man is, man's need for salvation, and how God provided for salvation by sending Jesus to earth. It doesn't teach everything that is in the Bible, of course, but it will give you the understanding you need to begin your journey of faith with a solid foundation from God's Word. This book will open your eyes to what the Bible is all about, the main message God wants us to understand. I recommend it highly.
This book is also a great tool for Christians to use in helping their friends come to know Jesus. Why not get a couple of copies, give one to a friend, and invite them to study it together with you? The optional workbook can be a help as well.
If you want to help Muslims understand what faith in the Prophet Jesus is all about, the book by the same author, "All that the Prophets Have Spoken" is a great resource. It is similar to "The Stranger," but was written with the Muslim world view in mind.

the Stranger on the Road to Emmas Jan 20, 2012
By Diana This is one of my favorite study books and I have purchased it numerous times over the last few years as gifts for family and friends. It clears up sooooooooooo much about this world that God has created with what, when, where and why. It helps clarify our heritage from the beginning of time, how awesome is that. Every-time you read or re-read a portion you are enlighten more and more. It opens up opportunity for discussion of God's word. It's a must purchase, read and re-read book.
