This book is about self promotion, his, not yours May 19, 2010 This book is about self promotion, his, not yours. The first red flag was chapter 10 when Robin Sharma writes about pulling over his car to the side of the road to BlackBerry this thought, " leadership-success begins at the extra mile". He must have had a Napoleon Hill tape/CD/8-track playing in his car at the time.
In a later chapter he talks about Roger Bannister, to anyone who writes self-developing books enough with Roger Bannister.
Half way through the book I released the only thing I highlighted was when he was quoting other people.
Pass on this book, his other books may be good but the only time I will pick another one up is if I see it for four dollars on a bargain table and wonder what's under it. This one just wasted time - your most valuable asset:)
Awesome book Mar 12, 2010 I read the Greatness Guide and I in fact keep reading it again and again. It is really very useful guide and very inspiring. It is awesome and encouraging. You should read it for sure.
It was a good experience over all Mar 12, 2010 One thing which I like particularly about robin is his practical examples and the way he gives reference points for good behavior. Very inspiring and easy read. Thank you very much Robin for writing this great stuff.

Basic concepts communicated powerfully Mar 12, 2010 I was given The Greatness Guide by a good friend who basically begged me to read it because he thought it might help me through a life crisis. It sat on my shelf for a while until I read it just so I could tell him I had...and because I was more than a little curious about what kind of book could possibly make such an impact on my respected friend. Well, once I started reading it late one night I quickly found out...and did not stop until I finished it, or should I say devoured it.
Robin Sharma has a way with words and ideas like nobody else. There is almost nothing in this book that I didn't already "know" yet almost every sentence had a powerful...and lasting....impact. I find myself applying many of Robin's approaches in my everyday life. I frequently refer back to the book when I can't quite remember what I thought I already knew...and the short (2-3 page) chapters make that quick and easy. Robin's website, blog and podcasts can help anyone and everyone do better at work and in life.
It is a rare talent that Robin has. I plan to read his latest book and to see him in person one day. And I plan to thank him, and my friend, by practicing "Greatness" every day.
Best read with morning coffee Mar 12, 2010 Great read. The format is perfect to read while taking your morning coffee. Thought provoking. A must read !
