Good Story; needs major editing! Sep 20, 2010
By Mystery Lover All in all, I enjoyed the story line of this book. The descriptions of Honolulu were a treat and made me want to book an immediate flight to Hawaii. However, the poor editing, page layout and typos/errors were numerous throughout the book which made the book difficult to read and quite irritating.
Most books have some sort of mechanical errors but this was unreal. Sentences would stop half way across the page and then continue on the next line for no apparent reason. There were many misspelled words and even an editing note that was right in the middle of a paragraph.
I truly appreciate the writing style and artistic ability of the author, but feel that her work was minimized by the publisher's lack of effort; it was as if the publisher never took the time to read or make corrections.

Great Beach Vacation Mystery Jul 16, 2009
By Reading B I just finished Reads Like Murder in Honolulu. A great distraction that caught me off guard when it went in a different direction than I was expecting. It made me wish that (1) I was in Hawaii, and (2) I was a bookstore owner. Bottomline - A fun book to read on on vacation (even a non-tropical one!).

Reads Like Murder-in Honolulu Aug 17, 2009
By Jan I'm not usually a murder mystery reader, but this one seemed intriguing and a good way to pass the time while on the road, so I gave it a try, reading aloud to my husband while he was driving. We got so involved in the story that when I was not reading, my husband would actually talk to me about "the possibilities". My husband is a retired deputy sheriff and listened to this story from a totally critical stand point. Bottom line...He loved it. I loved it. I have recommended it to all of my friends. This is supposed to be the first in a series and, frankly, we can't wait for the next edition.

What kmjtax says about Reads Like Murder: Oct 02, 2009
By Kathleen M. Jensen As I read the first page, I was getting comfortable and wow! I was not expecting the shift. Enjoyed it very much.
Liked the banter between the two main characters. It has mystery, fun, food, beautiful descriptions of Hawaii, and a hint of romance. A few type-o's but I got past that. Enjoyable reading, kept me intrigued. Felt like I was there.

Reads Like Murder - In Honolulu (Kindle version) Jan 27, 2011
By KindleReader Do not purchase the Kindle version of this book. There is no spacing between the paragraphs or chapters. Formatting characters print. It is terrible to read. I would return it if I could figure out how.
