In the Fire, the Beginning

Charleston, a well respected man in his community, always told his wife Karen he knew how far to go when it came to living on the edge. Until now, he'd been right! Trapped in a real life fatal attraction, his lustful desires force him out of the life of his wife and children into the hands of his manipulating girlfriend. Then one night comes his moment of truth, but will it be too late for him to reconcile with his family? Can the family pull together and move beyond the pain Charleston has caused them?

5Page Turner - Must Read  Apr 03, 2007
By JVW
This book is a must read! The characters are multi-faceted with complex personalities that people can relate to. Usually I can skip a few pages in a book and catch up, but this book held my attention with all the twists and turns in the plot. I read it practically in one sitting. I highly recommend it to married or singles who want an honest look at relationships, marriage, and even first loves. I'm ready for the continuation to find out what happens next!

1Terrible book!  Sep 28, 2010

This book was one of the worst I have ever read. It is written with so much street slang/ghetto talk that it made reading very difficult. I would NEVER recommend this book to anyone.

5A frightening look at a fictional culture  Sep 08, 2011
By BookAday "readsalot"
An excellent read. This is a story about people who exist in a culture that encourages infidelity, dishonesty, violence, selfishness, child abandonment, home wrecking, and manipulative pregnancy. For extra flavor there is a view of God as a personal "get out of free jail" card. Thankfully this is fiction, as the culture depicted in this book, if it actually existed, would likely produce very little other than poverty, ignorance, misery and crime.

5Loved it!  Nov 11, 2010

I am thoroughly impressed with this book! It really allowed me to see the different points of views people have about relationships and explores real life issues we all experience. I highly recommend this book for all to read.
